It is tax time and an interesting time. We live at a time where the people in government think that
you should give them more than half of what you earn. They sneek it in with sales tax, gas tax, income tax, social security tax, medicare tax, federal income tax, phone usage tax, property tax, estate tax, use tax, and now they want to create value added tax. Did I mention corporate income tax and capital gains and dividend tax.
The beast has taken over with no one in control. The congress and the President fight for 2 months over cutting the budget by $38 billion dollars while the monthly budget deficit is $200 billion. It is like having an arguement over the drink tab on the Tintanic.
So the President has this bright idea. Tax the rich. You could tax everyone that is making over $100,000 per year 100% and you still could not solve the problem. The problem is spending. The government has created a self perpetuating monster with no one at the controls.
They have created false incentives that undermine the country. They keep extending unemployment benefits indefinately, Great time to be a ski bum work half the year and go on unemployment the rest.
Food stamps are a slick deal. You get a debit card and they just reload it every month. No effort to get the money.
Somehow when you take out a loan for a home and you find out you can't afford the payments somehow it is the lenders fault you are not paying.
If hypocracy and immorality knows no bounds. A free society only can survive if the citizens are moral decent law abiding citizens. When the citizens want a hand out and are willing to steal from others the society decays to annarchy. Hope we can get some serious adults running the government before
the ship of state sinks.
